3.3 Documents used to design and plan media products
Visualisation diagrams
Visualisation diagrams are used to plan out static products like posters, magazine covers and digital graphics.
The key to getting storyboards right is to add the correct annotations.
Annotations to add to a visualisation diagram
- Colours
- Fonts
- Sizes
- Dimensions (e.g. in pixels)
- Explanations and justifications

The exam will also likely ask you to add annotations to explain how the visualisation diagram will help a particular worker.
Make sure you clearly state the audience (i.e. the person using the document) and annotate in detail how the document will help them.
